Our job as wedding planners is to make your planning process fun, as stress-free as possible and within budget, all while executing your vision! We do this by learning all about you as a couple and your story. Understanding your priorities as well as your budget priorities will allow us to guide and educate you on making the best decisions throughout your wedding planning experience.
We do this by using our online dashboard systems in place. For couples who live locally or who are in town, we like to meet with you over coffee (Starbucks, of course) and chat through your inspiration, your priorities, your budget and the vendors that you have an interest in already or who have already booked. If you are a destination couple, we utilize a program called Crowdcast for your initial consultation. This program is an online video dashboard where up to four people can be on screen at once. The entire meeting is recorded and you can revisit it anytime.
Our hope is that in our FREE consultation meeting, you will learn a little bit more about us as well as how we can best assist you on your wedding day!
My favorite part of a wedding is being able to see the "behind the scene moments". Those moments range from first looks between the bride and groom, the first moment the father of the bride gets to see his little girl in her wedding dress, that final moment or conversation the bride and her father shares before walking down the aisle, and the excitement the bride and groom have once they recess out of their ceremony and have a private moment to themselves. Those are the moments I am lucky enough to experience throughout wedding days.
Choosing my favorite part of a wedding is difficult. I love having a special bond with my clients and their families so as the day goes through and a mother sees her daughter in her dress or a father gets his special dance with his daughter I can’t help but get emotional! If I absolutely had to choose I would say seeing my brides reactions throughout the day.
I love the whole process! My favorite part of the wedding is the relationship I build with not only the bride and groom but their loved ones as well. I love the moment when the bride and groom are first pronounced as man and wife after the vows and you can see so much love between the couple and true happiness in that moment. I also love when the dinner and formalities are over and the party gets started. At that point all of the planning and hard work you've done together with the couple and vendors have gone smoothly and I can just sit back and watch the everyone have fun!
You know that moment when everyone is standing up and looking at the bride as she makes her entrance? I am looking at the groom! It is in that moment that you see the full emotion and the love that the groom has for the person on the other end of that aisle!
It's a magical moment and I can't get enough of it!
Amanda came to us from a local Williamsburg venue where she planned and executed weddings, social and corporate events. Her friendly and warm demeanor bring the gentle touch needed when dealing with the family dynamics of planning a wedding. Amanda's portfolio consists of working in the wedding rentals industry, running and managing a wedding venue and now planning and assisting on our weddings.
On our team, Amanda is well known for being the lover of checklists and is the paper queen. While she appreciates our online dashboard systems, she loves to have everything printed out so she can check off as she plans throughout the entirety of planning a wedding!
She recently married her handsome honey (her words, not ours), Dan! When she isn't planning weddings you will find her and her hubby at their beautiful home hosting a cookout, golfing (she tries), kayaking, or off on a new adventure to wine country!
Hilary comes to us from the windy city of Chicago. There, Hilary served as an assistant wedding planner to one of Chicago's premiere event companies. Before she made her way to Virginia, Hilary was quickly promoted to a lead planner.
Before Hilary got settled into her Virginian life, she planned a few weddings for family and friends and soon after arriving here she landed a position as a lead wedding and event coordinator for Kingsmill Resort. Craving the deeper connection with brides Hilary contacted our Company and we decided very quickly that she would be a wonderful fit!
When Hilary isn't planning or working a wedding you will find her spending time with her family (she has a fur baby, Maple and a human baby who is adorable, named Wyatt), cooking, or online shopping! She is our reality TV guru and lives for celebrity gossip!
Kayla joined our team in Fall of 2017. Her passion for weddings goes back to the mere age of ten where she planned countless "fake" weddings! This ultimately led her to planning and executing her family members weddings.
Kayla's love for weddings and experience landed her an internship with Night and Daye Events followed by a position with Two Rivers Country Club as an assistant wedding planner. Her venue experience paired with her wedding planning internship makes her a dynamic team member!
When Kayla is not planning a wedding, you will find her spending time with her large family here in Williamsburg, VA or snuggled up with her 8 year old fur baby, Jackson. He is a mountain dog who is 130 pounds of pure fluff!
Erin joined our team in the late Winter of 2018. Her passion for wedding and event planning began through her time volunteering within her community, church and her children's school events. This led Erin to a career in designing, planning and coordinating weddings and corporate events over the last four years.
She was raised in the Greater Portland, Oregon Metropolitan area. She has been with her amazing husband for 18 years and has been blessed with 3 beautiful children, Noah, 16, Andrew, 11, and Zoe, 8. She loves that she gets to be a mom first, yet do what she loves by being a part of each Couples story and seeing that they have a chance at a future that she has! She believes this is the great circle of marriage bliss!
Leah is a recent addition to the team, previously serving as Director of Events for large wedding venue in rustic Prince George County, Virginia. Leah has a diverse background in event planning and an intimate knowledge of the attention to detail needed to deliver on complex events of any size. Leah excels at working closely with her clients to create very personal and unique events.
Though a Florida girl at heart, she has found the LOVE in Virginia after moving here four years ago with her husband (Clay) and their two beautiful daughters (Logan and Caroline). She has traded the sandy shores of Florida for the trails of the Blue Ridge where she and her family can often be found hiking and camping (unless its football season, Go Noles).
